Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise today announced it has been awarded “Best Use of Virtual Reality for Enterprise Applications” as part of the inaugural Artificial Intelligence Breakthough awards 2018.
The AI Breakthrough Awards recognize the best companies, technologies, products and services in the field of Artificial Intelligence (AI).
AI Breakthrough is an independent organization that recognizes the top companies, technologies and products in the global Artificial Intelligence market. The program, the first of its kind, attracted more than 2,500 award nominations from over 15 different countries throughout the world, from individuals, companies and organizations involved in producing AI products and services. Winning products and companies were selected based on a variety of criteria, including most innovative and technologically advanced products and services, with the ultimate goal of recognizing the “Break Through” nominations for AI technologies and companies.
The ALE Virtual Airport demonstration
The Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise winning entry, an immersive experience in a virtual airport, is designed to show a passenger journey as they make multiple stops through an airport. The virtual experience mixes real-life examples with “virtual” interactions while also triggering specific applications and solutions from Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise. This was amongst the reasons for ALE receiving this award.
Guests to the ALE offices outside Paris can participate in the demo by visiting the company’s Executive Briefing Center (EBC).
ALE Executive Briefing Center goes virtual with Fred
Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise has implemented a new virtual assistant, Fred, in its EBC extending the virtual experience for guests. Fred was designed to represent a welcoming, dynamic, enthusiastic, funny, serious, and attentive host. The character is present for the whole customer visit beginning with the invitation, introducing customers to the EBC before their physical arrival on premises, and continues beyond the end of the visit.
