Growth in wireless doubles for Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise solutions in Q4/2015, outpacing the market according t o Dell’Oro Group report.
The recently released Dell’Oro “Wireless LAN Quarterly Report 4Q15” report reveals that ALE, operating under the Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise brand, achieved significant year-over-year and quarter-over-quarter growth in Wireless Local Area Networking.
According to the Dell’Oro Group report, ALE was the fastest growing vendor in the key North American market, more than doubling its revenue year-over-year (+100%) here against an overall Enterprise WLAN market that grew less than 1%. Overall for the year, ALE grew in North America at over five times the industry, registering year-over-year revenue growth of 10.9% compared to industry growth of only 2.1%. The market share gains for the quarter and the year are due primarily to strength in sales in the education, transportation, hospitality and healthcare sectors.
ALE also improved its market share globally in the Q4/2015, growing more than twice the rate of the industry. In the quarter, ALE grew 18.9% vs. the overall global market that grew at 7.9% year over year.
