New Alcatel-Lucent OXO Connect delivers cloud-based services for SMBs to foster collaboration, automate installation and maintenance operations
Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise today introduced new hybrid cloud capabilities enabling small-medium businesses (SMBs) to address the mobile and secure collaboration needs, while taking advantage of the flexibility of innovative cloud-based services.

Alcatel-Lucent OXO Connect, the latest Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise solution for hybrid communications benefits SMBs by delivering state-of-the-art collaboration tools with cloud-based Alcatel-Lucent Rainbow, while automating maintenance operations though its Cloud Connect services. It enables ALE Business Partners to deliver IT simplicity with license and upgrades from the cloud, and create new revenue streams with cloud-based subscriptions and new IP-based mobility equipment. The new OXO Connect solutions includes the following:
1) OXO Connect now integrates with one number mobility service across business phones and Alcatel-Lucent Rainbow UC as a Service. It enables employees to extend their business communications with secure audio and video collaboration from the cloud. Additionally, Alcatel-Lucent Cloud Connect allows partners to offer managed services by delivering OXO Connect software and license upgrades from the cloud. Cloud Connect also offers web-based inventory analytics to better predict customer demands.
2) New software update for OXO Connect provides broader support for wired business phones to enable more customer service features from a deskphones at a lower cost. The IP model Alcatel-Lucent 8008 DeskPhone provides all the business communication features at the most affordable cost, the Alcatel-Lucent 8088 Smart DeskPhone, and digital models Alcatel-Lucent 8029s and Alcatel-Lucent 8039s Premium DeskPhones enable companies to use the existing network while gaining a modern, stylish phone.
3) ALE also introduces a new all-IP connected appliance, Alcatel-Lucent OXO Connect Evolution, offering SMBs the simplicity of a single network while enabling hybrid communications by connecting to cloud-based services such as Alcatel-Lucent Rainbow. The appliance is designed for all-IP network with SIP connectivity to public networks. The solution includes OXO Connect Evolution platform, the new optimized IP phone system, new 8378 DECT IP-xBS base stations and a new series of LAN switches, Alcatel-Lucent OmniSwitch® 2220 WebSmart.
OXO ALE Business partners can now offer a wider range of products, which are easier to source and support for customers.
OXO Connect and OXO Connect Evolution offer all business communication services on premise and extend those services with mobility and collaboration from the cloud with Alcatel-Lucent Rainbow UC as a Service. According to IDC, integration of on-premise and cloud resources is a top IT spend priority by over half of SMBs by 2019.
