This article provides steps for adding a Phone Number or Digital Line that will be assigned to your existing phone.

You must have Administrator access in order to proceed with the steps below. Adding a Digital Line or phone number is limited to the following Administrator roles:

  • Super Admin
  • Phone System Admin
  • Custom Roles with access to Phone System > Phones & Devices

 

How to Add a Phone Number or Digital Line to your Existing Phone

  1. Go to Admin Portal > Phone System > Phones & Devices.

  2. Under the User Phones tab, click Add Device.

  3. Select the location, either Domestic or International, then click Next.

  4. Select the User who will use the phone, then click Next.

  5. Go to Other Phones, select Existing Phone.

  6. Select how many, then click Add.

  7. Review the details, then click Next.

  8. Under Select Numbers click New Number.

  9. Select the appropriate State and Area Code.

  10. Click Assign to Selected then click Next.

  11. Under Add Emergency Address, select from your list of emergency addresses or click New to enter a new Emergency Address. 

  12. Click Assign to Selected, then click Next. Ensure that the Emergency Address matches the phone's actual location.

  13. Add Shipping Info to the Existing Phone, then click Next.

  14. Review the details on the Confirmation page. Tick the Acknowledge box, then click Next.

  15. You can Print your Billing Statement or click Done to close the window.
