This article provides troubleshooting steps when you are unable to receive some faxes sent to the Rainbow Office dedicated fax or company number.

Issue

Unable to receive some faxes sent to the Rainbow Office main fax number or company number.

Affected Environment

Inbound fax

Cause

The baud rate is set too high on the sender's fax machine.

Resolution

Follow the steps below if you have access to the sender's fax machine.

 

Unable to receive some faxes on the Rainbow Office fax number

1. Lower the baud rate to 7200

2. Disable Error Correction

1. Lower the baud rate to 7200

2. Disable Error Correction

3. Check Advanced rules to be sure none are interrupting or redirecting the fax

4. Make sure the Company number is both Fax and Voice

5. Confirm that the sender can call (voice call) the fax line from their line and location to ensure reachability
