1. What is Rainbow Office Video?

Rainbow Office Video is a video meeting and collaboration platform built from the ground-up by Rainbow Office to address today’s dynamic workforce's changing behaviors. Rainbow Office Video is tightly integrated into our market-leading Rainbow Office Office application and allows users to join meetings instantly, share their screens, and get work done faster. 

2. What are the current capabilities of Rainbow Office Video? What are the critical milestones for next year?

At the time of launch, Rainbow Office Video offers a rich set of meeting capabilities, including scheduling, hosting, joining meetings, and being available to all new customers. Rainbow Office Video is integrated with Microsoft Office and GSuite providing a single view for all your meetings. Rainbow Office Video will soon be integrated into Salesforce.com and Microsoft Teams. It is also integrated with productivity apps offered by Google and Microsoft, including Outlook.

3. Who is Rainbow Office Video available to?

At the time of limited availability, Rainbow Office Video will be available to all customers where Rainbow Office is launched. Customers looking for a rich web-based/webRTC platform that removes all friction when hosting or joining a meeting will enjoy using Rainbow Office Video.

4. Which platforms does Rainbow Office Video support?

Rainbow Office Video is available on these operating systems: Windows 7 and up, Mac OS X Snow Leopard and up, iOS 10.0 and up, and Android 5.0 and up. For browsers, Rainbow Office Video currently supports Chrome. Another browser support is on the roadmap.

5. What is the maximum quality for Webcam video received?

1280x720 at 30 fps for 1:1 and multi-participant meetings.

6. What is the maximum quality for screen sharing on the receiver's end?

Up to 1920x1080 at 15 fps.

7. Can I request control from the presenter?

Remote control of somebody else's desktop is not yet enabled in Rainbow Office Video. 

8. How can I access the recorded meetings?

Users must be authorized by the meeting Host to access the recording.

9. As a Host, how do I share my meeting's recording?

To share a recording, log in to Rainbow Office Video, click Recordings, then click the Share button to choose the user within your company to share the recording with.

10. Is there a time limit for meetings that I host?

With the free version, sessions are limited to 60 minutes, while for paid accounts, the meeting duration limit is 24 hours.

11. How do Rainbow Office Video Closed Captions work?

Spoken words are processed by Rainbow Office’s cognitive speech recognition platform and then turned into text. The text disappears from the screen shortly after another person speaks.

12. Can I use Closed Captions if I’m a non-English language speaker?

Rainbow Office Video Closed Captions currently does not support non-English speakers and does not recognize when a non-English language is spoken.

13. Does Rainbow Office support any other languages except English for the Closed Captions feature?

Not yet, but don’t worry, more languages are coming soon!

14. How can I have the best quality of Closed Captions?

Use a headset microphone

15. What English accent do Rainbow Office Video Closed Captions feature support?

Currently, Rainbow Office Video Closed Captions feature is highly optimized for American English. Support for more English accents is coming soon.

16. How many participants can you host on a Rainbow Office Video on each Office plan (Essentials, Standard, Premium, Ultimate)?

Basic / Essentials - N/A

17. Are plugins required to use Rainbow Office Video?

There are no software downloads required for Rainbow Office Video. This enables Rainbow Office Video’s "One-click" meeting experience. Rainbow Office Video is available today using the Google Chrome browser using a technology called WebRTC. Different browsers will be supported in the future. There are many advantages for WebRTC, including performance and security. For other Rainbow Office Office integrations, the respective plug-ins are required. For example, Microsoft and Google Plug-ins will be needed to integrate Microsoft Outlook and Google calendars, respectively.

18. Is Rainbow Office Video HIPAA compliant?

To better serve our customers in the highly regulated healthcare industry, Rainbow Office has implemented HIPAA security safeguards. We annually undergo a third-party SOC 2+ audit—which includes an assessment of controls mapped to the HIPAA Security Rule requirements, demonstrating the implementation of the security safeguards and conditions outlined in the HIPAA Security Rule. Rainbow Office offers HIPAA Business Associate Agreements to covered entities. Rainbow Office Video is included under the covered services of our Business Associate Agreement (BAA).Rainbow Office Video can, therefore, be offered to healthcare customers that are subject to HIPAA. For any such customers, Rainbow Office will act as a Business Associate, and it will comply with its HIPAA obligations accordingly. Please note that any customers subject to HIPAA and who will use Rainbow Office Video to create, receive, transmit, or maintain PHI need to request a BAA from Rainbow Office. Customers’ own BAAs are not accepted.

19. Is Rainbow Office Video HITRUST certified?

Rainbow Office Video has earned Certified status for information security by HITRUST. HITRUST CSF Certified status indicates that Rainbow Office Video has met HITRUST’s defined security requirements and is appropriately managing cybersecurity risk. Rainbow Office joins an elite group of global organizations that have earned this certification.

20. Is Rainbow Office Video GDPR (General Data Protection Rule) compliant?

Rainbow Office offers customers a robust Data Processing Addendum (DPA) governing the relationship between the customer and Rainbow Office. Our DPA contains firm privacy commitments that few software companies can match and has been updated to confirm our compliance with the GDPR.
