Challenges

  • Morgan’s existing network was obsolete, no longer maintainable and failing to offer satisfactory bandwidth to users
  • The university was looking to replace it with a new robust network backbone
  • Morgan also wanted to provide students with highly available and reliable WiFi, enabling them to connect personal devices throughout campus
  • In addition, the school wanted to migrate communications to Voice over IP (VoIP)

  • The university’s dual core routed network went from 2GB to 80GB, providing ample bandwidth for future growth of users, applications and devices, as well as connection to high-speed servers
