Herausforderungen

Hongik University had been using Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise network switches for a number of years. However, the University was challenged on multiple fronts during the pandemic including providing online lectures, the explosive increase in personal devices used by students, the rapid rise in multimedia consumption and the need to replace their ageing switches. In addition, there were concerns about whether the required products would be delivered on-time to meet the implementation of the 40G network environment, due to the global supply chain issues with semiconductors.

Aktion

Based on their years-long experience and trust in the ALE product offering, Hongik University found an optimum ALE solution that could successfully address their 40G network roll-out. ALE’s methodical and meticulous analysis of the Hongik environment, requirements, as well as regular meetings, provided the University with the confidence to move forward.

To address the potential delivery setbacks, which were a significant concern, ALE was able to deliver, in line with the project schedule, the Alcatel-Lucent OmniSwitch® 9907, Alcatel-Lucent OmniSwitch 6900, and Alcatel-Lucent OmniSwitch 6860 which were key to the 40G network.
