Mute, so that your contact cannot hear you
You can hear your contact but he/she cannot hear you.
From the set
· During a conversation.
·
(strongly lit in blue): Disable microphone. When
muted, the button slowly flashes blue and the Smart Pad ring lights up in red(1).
If you are using the ALE-160 headset, the LED lights up in red. If you speak
while the microphone is muted, the Smart Pad ring (and ALE-160 if used) will
flash red to warn you that the other party cannot hear you. An orange banner is also displayed on the screen.

(slow flashing in blue): Enable microphone. The mute
button is lit in blue again and the Smart Pad is lit in purple (2).
1) In 'legacy' mode, the key lights up continuously in blue. 2) In 'legacy' mode, the key is dimly lit in blue.
From the headset
· Use the mute key of the headset, if there is one, to disable headset microphone or to resume the conversation.
From the Bluetooth® handset (Bluetooth® wireless handset)

Press the handset mute key (short press). When muted,
the mute key on the Smart Pad lights up in blue, and both the Smart Pad ring
and the handset LEDs light up in red. If you speak while the microphone is
muted, the Smart Pad ring and the headset LEDs will flash red to warn you that
the other party cannot hear you. An orange banner is also displayed on the screen.

Press the handset mute key (short press). Enable
microphone. The mute button is dimly lit in blue again and the Smart Pad is lit
in blue.
