ALE launches a complete, end-to-end asset tracking solution that instantly locates people and critical equipment with meter-level accuracy.

Calabasas, USA, April 6, 2020 -  Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise (ALE), a leading provider of communication, network and cloud solutions, is proud to announce the launch of its OmniAccess® Stellar Asset Tracking solution as part of its location services portfolio. Through cost-effective Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) indoor location technology, people and items equipped with a small tag can be instantly tracked and quickly located on any mobile device.

The system also provides useful insights and location intelligence via historical and real-time positioning data and analytics, enabling a significant improvement of productivity and workflows optimization.

Equipment utilization can be optimized, and the additional costs associated with replacing lost or stolen equipment, can be avoided. The intuitiveness of the mobile interfaces makes the solution very attractive and easy to use, even for non-technical staff, which enables quick user adoption.

This provides the immediate benefit of a quick Return on Investment (ROI) and reduced Operational Expenditures (OPEX), while optimizing workflows and improving efficiency especially in large and complex facilities such as hospitals, schools, transportation hubs, commercial buildings, factories or cultural sites.

The solution uses the ALE OmniAccess Stellar AP1201BG, enhancement to the OmniAccess Stellar WLAN portfolio.  The Stellar AP1201BG can serve as both a BLE Gateway for asset tracking and a BLE Beacon for Location-based services, simultaneously. It provides cloud connectivity over an existing Wi-Fi or LAN infrastructure and eliminates the need for a separate BLE infrastructure for asset tracking or Location-Based Services.

Powered the latest cloud technology architecture, the OmniAccess Stellar Asset Tracking solution provides real-time location services along with unprecedented scale and high availability. With a meter-level accuracy and a very low latency when displaying the physical location of a tag on the mobile device, the solution truly unlocks the potential of real-time tracking.
