ALE takes part in the French Pleeade consortium
July 26, 2023
A solution of data intelligence using health data warehouses to facilitate collaboration and decision making in French health.
Paris, France, July 26 2023 - Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise, a leading provider of communications, networking and cloud solutions tailored to customers’ industries, is pleased to announce its participation in the Pleeade consortium that offers distributed, autonomous and federative Data Intelligence and Artificial Intelligence solutions to support collaboration and decision-making for clinicians staff in France.
RainbowTM by Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise, the CPaaS (Communications Platform as a Service) platform certified HDS1 for hosting of health data, will enable the flow of patient information and the activation of notifications with the right level of priority, in a completely secure way. Users will be able to receive calls, alerts and messages on their devices (PCs, smartphones, tablets…), contact the various people involved via audio, video and conference, and access patient data to help provide an optimal response, thanks to a better understanding of the patient's global situation.
Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise offers a distributed and secure end-to-end (SASE-SD-WAN) network infrastructure (WLAN, LAN) to hospitals, nursing homes and care facilities across France.
Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise connectivity solutions allow data to flow from business software in the city or applications to Pleeade members’ solutions.
Project history
In August 2022, the Direction Générale de l'Offre de Soins (French directorate general for healthcare supply) launched an official call for proposals for the development of health data repositories in French hospitals. To meet the national sovereignty challenges in the field of digital health, France was looking to develop capacities for data circulation: collection, curation, quality setting, sharing.
The new possibilities brought by digital technology enable joint action from the healthcare sector, local authorities and the technology industry. A new movement aims to enable digital health players to make better informed decisions by considering public health, in care and prevention pathways, in a population health management dynamic and at a level that enables concrete achievements and results. The work carried out over the past two years paved the way for the creation of the “Filière Santé Numérique”, an ecosystem “do tank” working group that brings together players from the healthcare, local authorities and technology players. ALE is engaged in this ecosystem.
In January 2023, the Filière Santé Numérique carried out a Call for Expression of Interest "Circulation of health data between Health Data Warehouses", to identify companies and consortia with the technical capabilities to respond to this issue and the ability to establish partnerships with hospital groups.
The successful applicants of this process now form the four members of the Pleeade consortium:
- Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise
- The CEA
- HOPSIIA
- Keenturtle
These players share the same understanding of the issue of mastered data circulation, thanks to their participation in the work carried out by the Digital Health Sector working group.
The SantExpo Fair (May 23-25, 2023) has provided an opportunity for the awardees to share their value proposition built around the Pleeade consortium and has received positive feedback.
The solution proposed by Pleaade offers an integration of proven building blocks that changes the management and controlled flow of health data. This will accelerate and develop uses mobilising AI and real-time collaboration in a distributed, autonomous and federative architecture, serving caregivers, patients and the healthcare system.
