April 26, 2021 – Leveraging a modern communication platform from Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise, a leading provider of communications, networking and cloud solutions tailored to customers’ industries, Deutscher Sparkassenverlag (DSV) has increased the efficiency and convenience of its voice communications. The new solution was designed and implemented by COM plan + service, a long-term business partner of Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise.
Deutscher Sparkassenverlag provides the savings banks, associations, and companies of the DSV financial group with media content, Internet offerings, payment transaction solutions, technical equipment, and an extensive range of services. In order to support the required seamless internal and external cooperation in these diverse tasks, DSV decided to replace its existing PBX system with a future-proof communications platform.
The Alcatel-Lucent OmniPCX® Enterprise Communication Server forms the core of the new platform, to which 2,000 DSV users are connected using smart desk phones, WLAN phones, or mobile devices. The network is managed by the Alcatel-Lucent OmniVista® 8770 Network Management System, and the contact centre solution, "robot 5 Agent Line Office" from COM plan + service, handles the intelligent routing of incoming calls.
DSV now has an integrated communications platform that provides convenient state-of-the-art voice communications at any location and on any device, seamlessly integrating mobile and remote users. Technical support has become very efficient with unified system management for office telephony, mobile communication devices, and the network.
Investment protection is ensured through the future-proof platform built around a communications server that can be scaled as required, making extension available at any time with minimal effort, to add users from other DSV group companies.
"Thanks to the smooth cooperation with our partners, Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise and COM plan + service, we were able to achieve our project goals on schedule. The convenient handling of the new solution makes it easier for our employees to exchange information with customers and colleagues," said Jörg Fietze, ICT Administration at Deutscher Sparkassenverlag.
