August 4, 2021
Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise is a Diversity & Inclusion Champion finalist in the Women in ICT Awards 2021 for APAC
Paris, France, July 30th, 2021- Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise, a leading provider of communications, networking and cloud solutions tailored to customers’ industries, is proud to have been named a finalist in the Channel Asia new-look Women in ICT Awards (WIICTA) 2021, in the “Diversity & Inclusion Champion – Company” category.
The “Diversity & Inclusion Champion – Company” award recognises a standout company in driving diversity and inclusion (D&I) across all aspects of the business, spanning employees, customers and key stakeholders. The winning organisation will have gone beyond a surface-level commitment through the introduction of policies and programmes to meet D&I goals, evident through targeted initiatives, strong leadership and clearly defined deliverables.
At Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise, the goal is to create a level playing field to increase diversity, equity, and inclusion at all levels of the organisation. Diversifying the workforce has given ALE a competitive edge because more ideas are being incorporated from different backgrounds, experiences, and understanding. Key D&I initiatives include “Together”, ALE’s Employee Resource Group (ERG) that seeks to include multiple forms of intersectionality and diversity.
This year, Channel Asia received a record-breaking number of submissions in what will be the largest celebration of female excellence within the technology channel across Southeast Asia. Representing the entire ASEAN ecosystem, 160 finalists (150 individuals and 10 companies) made the shortlist from a pool of more than 65 organisations and over 220 nominations, spanning partner, vendor and distributor businesses.
“Channel Asia congratulates Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise on becoming a finalist in the Diversity & Inclusion category,” said Cherry Yumul, vice president of Strategic Partnerships and Innovation at IDG. “We applaud the company’s standout contribution in helping to set an industry benchmark for female achievement across Southeast Asia.”
“Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise is committed to diversity and inclusion in Asia and the rest of the world. There are many strong contenders for the WIICTA Diversity & Inclusion award, and it is a privilege to be part of such an outstanding and inclusive group,” says Rukmini Glanard, Executive Vice President, Global Sales, Services & Marketing and sponsor of Together ESG at Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise.
Winners will be announced during a live virtual event on August 5th, 2021 at 2.00pm SGT.
