ALE partners with OVHcloud to host Rainbow in Europe

December 1st, 2020 – Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise, a leading provider of communications, networking and cloud solutions tailored to customers’ industries, is partnering with OVHcloud, the leading European cloud provider, to host its Rainbow^TM communications platform.

As an Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) provider, OVHcloud is committed to strong partnerships to deliver customised, reliable and scalable cloud services that will allow Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise to offer its Rainbow customers secure hosting in OVHcloud's European data centres. Rainbow, the cloud-based Communications Platform as a Service (CPaaS), enables users to collaborate seamlessly via chat, voice or video, and conveniently share screen content and files.

Through OVHcloud Connect, a connector enabling access to OVH cloud in real time, Rainbow can be deployed on the OVHcloud infrastructure. Together, Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise and OVHcloud are responding to the market demand for a GDPR-compliant cloud service securely hosted on servers in numerous countries across Europe, including Germany.

Digitalisation and the increased need for mobility in corporate communications have driven demand for cloud solutions that deliver security and privacy in accordance with European standards. By cooperating with OVHcloud, Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise is extending Rainbow's GDPR compliance to the infrastructure used for its deployment.

Rainbow is part of Open Trusted Cloud, the OVHcloud programme aimed at Software as a Service (SaaS) and Platform as a Service (PaaS) solution providers. Their common goal is to create an ecosystem of trusted solutions hosted in OVHcloud's open and secure cloud that respects the fundamental rights of businesses, in particular their right to privacy. The Open Trusted Cloud label allows customers to identify programme participants and their trusted solutions.
